Despite being notorious for my belated doodles, this time I managed to find some time and make a holiday drawing BEFORE its conclusion.

This was drawn in celebration of the Lunar New Year. This year, it started on Jan. 26 and will end on Feb. 7. I don't usually doodle for this holiday but made an exception because this year is the Year of the Ox - which is very much my year. Hence an ox-girl. I also modeled her robes off of a traditional Han dynasty dress. <3 Textures and background stolen from the interwebs somewhere, I wish I could credit them but they were saved onto my computer a while back so... sorry. For anyone who doesn't read pinyin, the title is supposed to be something of a play on words:

Xin nian kuai le = Happy new year.
Niu = Ox.
Niu nian kuai le = Happy ox year! ^^ Yeah ok, I'm lame.

(And yes, that is my real Chinese name on the bottom there.)
